PuckerButt Pepper Company

CP 291 - Wild Brazil Orange

From the Christopher Phillips Rare Seed Collection R8--Release #8 on October 29, 2015 --- LIMITED RELEASE:  This one is extremely unusual for several reasons.  The species of the pepper is not known 100% as it has some annuum traits, but also has some of a Capsicum frutescens.  The plants grow extremely tall and grow like a small tree.  The peppers are about 0.75 inches long and ripen from dark green to a wonderful bright orange color.  The fruits are very juicy with a strong lip burn after biting into them.  The heat can surprise you on these.   When de-seeding these pods, they literally can strain a coffee filter or paper towel an orange color.   The plants are extremely prolific.  This is a really fun variety to grow in the pepper patch.
