From the Christopher Phillips Rare Seed Collection R4--Release #4 on November 15, 2014. This is a truly beautiful RARE Capsicum baccatum variety that seems to be a mutation of the popular Brazilian Starfish Red variety. Original seeds were provided to Christopher by a U.S. pepper grower named Amos Beasley. The plants produce a large number of gorgeous almost 'star' shaped pods ripening from green to bright yellow. The crunchy peppers taste absolutely delicious with citrus undertones and have some lingering heat, but very tolerable. Note, the seeds of this one are F3 so definitely not stable yet, but we have had great results from our grow-out. if willing to take a chance and enjoy a wonderful variety, we highly suggest adding this one to your garden. This is one of Christopher's personal favorites.
Seeds can take up to 6-8 weeks for proper germination.
