From the Christopher Phillips Rare Seed Collection R8--Release #8 on October 29, 2015 --- Christopher is very interested in unusual Capsicum chinense seasoning types. This special strain direct from Peru is quite nice. The plants put out a lot of very large - almost apple shaped - pods that can each 3 inches in size. The peppers on the lower region of the plant produce larger pods than higher up in general. These have a wonderful aroma and barely any heat. These are the perfect chinense stuffing peppers for parties. The fruit ripens from green to orange / light red. Plants produce quite well. The Aji Dulce from Peru put out the largest Capsicum chinense pepper weight wise Christopher ever grew: 49.9 grams!
Seeds can take up to 6-8 weeks for proper germination.
